Quiz Night a Huge Success
Friends of Bournemouth Samaritans, the fundraising arm of the Bournemouth Samaritans put on a very successful charity Quiz Night at the Wessex Hotel, Bournemouth on 23rd January 2008.
The event raised £717.05 which goes directly to support local volunteers in supporting local people.
Tickets were sold at £5 each and teams were made up of 2 to 6 people. There were lots of great prizes given away on the night including a smart new lawnmower donated by a local DIY store.
Bournemouth and District Samaritans Director Janet Isaacs said "Congratulations on a very successful quiz night. Everyone I've spoken to enjoyed themselves very much. and the result was great. Please pass on my thanks and that of the Branch."
Friends of Bournemouth Samaritans chairperson Ellie Fox-Kirk said "It was a great night - everyone had lots of fun and we hope to do it again soon".
